  The condo had a wonderful ocean view with little foot/road traffic as it is a some (very walkable) blocks away from the center of town. Warmly decorated interior; lots of interesting pictures, and a player piano, no less, which proved more entertaining

  The location was beautiful, so close to the beach and town. I would reccomend stopping in the larger town before Manzanita to pick up groceries as there is limited selection there, and a bit pricey. Overall we had a great time and would definitely go back.

  For the first time we had a small problem with a sticky key. A handyman came within 15 minutes of our call and stayed long enough to work on it, test, retest and make us entirely able to easily use the key and lock.
  I was unsurprised but very pleased at the excellent service. I'd like to visit an OceanEdge property every year for the rest of my life, and plan to do my best to make that happen.

  What a fun place to relax! The view was as close as you can get in a coastal rental, and the access just across the little street. The owner was very helpful and we had fun exploring Manzanita. And the "requirement" of using the player piano was fun! A very spacious place to relax with lots of character and great access to both Cannon Beach in the north and Tillamook to the south.

  We had a wonderful stay at this charming condo. The view from the living room and front deck was spectacular. The only complaint is that as we were packing up our things to check out, we realized that the notice on the refrigerator regarding checkout says that you must launder the sheets and towels before leaving because they won't have time to get them all clean before the next guest arrives. I have stayed in many vacation rentals and I've never seen such a request. I would advise the owners to invest in a second set of sheets and towels and not asked their guests to get up on the morning of their departure to do the laundry.

    We ask guests to start a load of sheets. We don't expect our guests to do all of the laundry, it just helps the housekeepers to have that first load of wash going.

  Salish is right across the street from the beach and only a short walking distance from the main street in Manzanita. My girlfriend and I stayed here for our 3 year anniversary and it was a perfect spot for a couple! Yet it could also be a great spot for a family of 4. The price was amazing...right in line with the price of a hotel room! I'd take a house with a kitchen, TV w/ Dish Network and a DVD player every time! The view from Salish was amazing and to be able to just walk across the street and be on the beach is the best!

  Salish is a nice place. It is priced right. Most of the furnishings are new. It's right across the street from the beach, and it has a very fun player piano. Most of our stay we did not have neighbors in the other units of the building. On the last night one of them was filled and the noise increased a lot. Also, Salish has a very small kitchen. These things didn't detract from our stay, but it's good to know. Overall, we loved this place and we are definitely going back.

  This was our second time working through Ocean's edge for a rental. The first for a big house for over 20 people, this time for a small place just for our family. Both times we have been really happy with the service. The only real comment we had was that, given the size of Salish and the amount of cleaning we did before leaving, we thought the cleaning fee was quite a lot, given it was the same for the big house we rented in July. But, overall, a great experience.

  We rented the Salish and Neahkahnie units (in the same tri-plex)for 4 couples (no children). It was a wonderful location and very comfortable. The kitchen, dining and living room in the NeahKahnie unit was large enough to accomodate all 8 of us. The view and beach access is terrific...perfect for a beach experience--rain or shine.

  Only two requests... Both our boys slipped and fell in the shower so I'd strongly suggest a "non-slip bath tub type mat" for in the shower stall. Something similar to what is in the kitchen sink would be perfect. Also a sponge and/or dish rag (only found dish towels) for washing dishes. Thanks.

  We have stayed at Salish twice, both times with additional family in the upstairs unit, a great arrangement. There were ants this year, not a problem since we were doing all the cooking upstairs but a little inconvenient for putting food in the cupboards. They promised no ants next year! We had a great time! The beach there is wonderful! I hear new furniture is expected, but what is there is perfectly fine. The player piano is fun! Limited cooking facilities in Salish if you like to cook.

  I loved the location but having people above woke us up a couple times. My daughter loved the player piano. She had a great time having that experience. I thought the cleaning fee was a bit much, considering how much was expected prior to departure.

  Check out time is a little early with having to do the laundry, we started cleaning at 8 and packing up and that took us all the way to 11am. I would almost suggest that with that check out time that it not be requested that the laundry be done and that extra bedding is available if there is another guest checking in that day since it would be cutting it close to the next guests checkin with the cleaning person having to do that laundry as well.

  Hi,
  We had a great time at the Salish. A couple comments--some how I missed the fact that it was a duplex--then a triplex--then by our last day we figured out it was a 4 plex?? I think this should be disclosed. Lots of people going up and down the stairs outside our window.
  
  Also, having owned a vacation rental myself, it seemed that there were an awful lot of rules in place right down to taking the garbage out--haven't had to take that out before when I pay a cleaning fee.
  
  Other than the above, we found the unit to be charming and it offered more amenities than we had time to use! A larger sized TV would be nice for watching movies.

  It would have helped to have instructions on when recycle bin was to be picked up and what it could contain and when garbage pick up happened (neither occured in the 9 days of our stay). The home has the most astonishing view and ocean access and is a lovely stroll into town. Location is ideal!

  Found this place kind of by accident searching Oregon B&B's - was looking for an ocean front location. Just wanted to watch the waves and have a relaxing time. It was really great. The town in nice and low key - interesting without being a tourist trap. If you're looking for lots of excitement and tons of shopping this isn't the place but it was a great home base from which to explore. The agents for the home were helpful and accomodating when I phoned for more info. Would love to go back there again. Watching the sunset and the moon set over the ocean from the comfort of the front porch was a real treat.
