  The view is great however the house is beginning to show its age. The extra rental fees for a holiday rental are to high considering the age and overall interior condition of the property.
  
  Need luggage stands or hooks on the walls, there were no provisions made for hanging up clothes, coats, especially upstairs.
  
  Put a chair in the entry if you want people to take off their shoes when entering.

    We are glad you enjoyed the views. The house is old, but it has recently been updated by new owners. They put in new floors, gave the house a spuce up by adding new colors to the walls; and they finished the basement by adding a new bedroom and bath. Thank you for suggesting the need for coat hooks and bench for the entry. The owners were in town this weekend, Feb.8&9, and they brought a small stool for the entry and put a hanging clothes ranck in the lower level bedroom and the loft upstairs. They will be bring suitcase racks when they return in two weeks. The owners are dedicated to make their renters happy.

  the Beach House has very nice quality appliances and full cable, nice tv etc. The upstairs room and bed are very comfortable.
  My parents thought the basement bed was not comfortable, the comforter was too heavy etc. \
  
  Someone should really come along and pull the weeds out in the yard.

    we are glad to hear that you liked the new and improved Beach House! this house was a well loved favorite for many years, It has very recently been upgraded with the new basement and bedroom along with bathroom renovations. During our fall/winter months we like to provide a nice warm comforter and a 2nd blanket as it can get very cold at night. Many of our homeowners like to maintain a natural landscape of native "Salal" and beach grass which grows best at the beach and is also no maitnenance required, no pesticides added and safe for the ocean water and enviroment! Come back and visit us again soon!

    Beach House at NeahKahNie went through a remodel this year that added a bedroom and a bath, so it is now 3-bedroom, 2-bath. New floorinig in the great room, new kitchen counters, vibrant colors and new beachy furniture really brighten this home. Come back again soon.

  The house was great, well stocked and clean. The TV is a little small for curling up at night have having family movie night but a not a big deal. Some dressers would be nice. And the basement is pretty cold at night so recommending going down 30 mins prior to bed and turn the heat on so it warms up before bed. Carpet would great downstairs. Beautiful views!! Will come back

  We had a great time at "Beach House" in Manzanita/NeahKahNie OR. The house is newly remodeled and sleeps 6. The views of the Pacific are fantastic from the family room, master bedroom and deck. A trail to the beach is just outside the front door. Watch surfers,kiteboarders,dog walkers and all the beach activity right from the house or take a short walk into town for dining and shopping. Manzanita is such a magical place, a real beach lovers paradise. Great summer farmer's market on Friday nights. Daytrips to the towns of Cannon Beach,Nehalem & Wheeler are fun. I highly recommend this rental and the Manzanita community!

  The view & access to the beach are amazing! The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, dishes, & cooking supplies,even organic spices. They have green cleaners & 7th generation paper products at the house. If you have little kids, you'll need lots of outlet covers & baby gates as it is a three story house. When we stayed the renovations had just been completed & the basement bedroom paint was still wet, which made the 2nd adult bedroom unusable. So although that was extremely inconvenient this trip, we would stay there again. We watched sunset from the deck, slept with the windows open listening to the roar of the waves, and walked to the beach many times throughout the weekend. It was nice to be on the quieter part of the beach since we have small children.

    Outlet covers are on the way. OceanEdge has baby gates for loan--and high chairs, too. I'm not sure why the reno paint on the ground level is tacky to the touch in some places. This is something we are consulting with the owners about and there should soon be a resolution! The location is superb--hope you come back soon.

  Overall we had a glorious and relaxing stay. The location is perfect with great views of and easy access to the beach. It's also a fairly short walk into town.
  
  The Beach House had been recently remodeled and is a wonderful place, and still smelled of fresh paint and guest book with information about the house had not yet been updated. The house was fully equipped with everything you might need. The only things we expected that weren't there were a toaster and information about how to sign onto the WI-FI service.     Thanks for this review. We are SO pleased with the added bedroom and attached bath, the great remodel and update. There is now a new toaster. The microwave has a new-more accessible home-can you guess that the owners are tall? The password for the WiFi is on the bottom of the modem! All easy for the next renters.

  Beach House is a cozy house with a great deck and great views of the beach and NeahKahnie mountain. It's not right in the heart of town, but only less than a mile walk to main part of town. We do want to mention there is a musty smell coming up from the basement and the bay window tends to fog up. Other than that, it's a nice house and great place to relax and enjoy the ocean.

  Loved this place...the house sits high up, but a pathway delivers you to the beach in mere seconds. We watched the constantly changing springtime weather roll in off the mighty Pacific. The view showcases the amazing cliffs & bird life of Neahkhanie Mtn as well. It offers the best of "town & country living", as the lovely hamlet of Manzanita is a quick 10 minute stroll down the beach. Great place, highly recommended!

  We arrived very late on Thanksgiving eve and found the porch lights on and a fresh baked pie to greet us. The house was cozy and clean and the upstairs bed very comfortable, though the stairs getting up there are very steep and narrow. We could not use downstairs bedroom because of the smell, but we didn't need to use the room so we shut the door and the musty odor was contained. Beautiful view of the ocean, easy access to the beach. The yard is not fenced so you have to take dogs out on leash which was not fun in the driving rain. Very spotty cell reception and no wifi access which would've been nice.

    Beach House does have a "musty beach smell" and we always try to tell customers about that. None of our houses have fenced yards and we also let our guests know that when they request that information. Cell reception on the coast is always spotty and it is up to the homeowner as to whether they provide wi fi or not.

  This is our third year staying at the Beach House. We love the view and the proximity to the beach and mostly that our dog is welcome. A few things kind of got to us this time though. Nothing big,just little things like the shower head (no bathtub) and the lack of dressers. Certainly not expected while on vacation, but wireless would have been a bonus. The service at OceanEdge was PHENOMENAL, especially considering we arrived a day earlier than arranged...kudos to OceanEdge!!

  My wife & I had a great time in Manzanita and the "Beach House" was perfect. Very clean, cozy and comfortable. Having traveled up and down the entire Oregon coast, Manzanita is at the top of our favorite's list. We will return to this area again and would love to stay at the "Beach House" again.

  The Beach House is wonderful and relaxing. It's big enough for 2-3 adults, although the downstairs bedroom did smell musty from the basement. We didn't sleep downstairs because there was more space for me and my husband and our dog in the upstairs loft-like bedroom. It's a very comfortable and relaxing home with a 5 star view and deck. Thanks so much for being pet friendly so we could bring our entire family to the beach. =)

  We enjoyed our stay! Nicely appointed kitchen, good view, good location, pleasant experience with OceanEdge. Only complaints were the stinky garbage in the basement that made the house stink (which we figured out on the day we were checking out!) and the less than comfortable bed upstairs.

  We loved the location. The general layout and amenties were perfect. The house is in need of some overhaul. The main floor bedroom was only bearable to sleep in due to the musty odor from the basement. I was ok with it, my wife slept upstairs with the kids because she was could not take it ofter one night. Everything else about the stay was excellent. This was an very relaxing vacation for us. Just what a vacation should be. We will probobly try another property location with your company next time we come down. We love the Manzanita area

  we always enjoy our time at the Beach House, my only issue is having to do laundry prior to departure. This makes me focus on housework as opposed to enjoying the last remaining hours of our trip. Folks at agency are very nice. Also, we'd love the Beach House even more if it had a hot tub.

  We loved the place. It was cozy & quaint, and just the size we needed as a couple. The light in the house is lovely and the location is prefect for getting to the beach quickly when the sun pops out in between spring rains (or snows for that matter). We'd stay there again!

  Although we looked at many different rental homes on the internet, this one caught our eye because we wanted something very close to the beach. It was even better than the pictures! Views of the ocean from all the windows and deck and it was a very short walk to the beach. Even our 175 lb Mastiff had plenty of room to stretch out and we appreciate it being a pet friendly house. The kitchen had plenty of supplies, more than other houses we've stayed in, even though we didn't use it much. Everything was perfect!

  We had a wonderful vacation at the Beach House - it was in a perfect spot for walking to the beach and had great views from the deck and windows.We have stayed at several vacation rental homes and found this one to be one of the best stocked houses we have stayed at. There were lots of nice towels and the kitchen was extemely well stocked - we bought way too much stuff with us as it was all there.Manzanita is a lovely well kept little town and about a 10 minute walk along the beach to go for a cup of coffee or a wonderful fresh baked cinamon bun from the great little bakery or deli.Our dog had a great vacation too as the house was very dog friendly and so was the beach and town. We didn't have any kids with us but the Beach House is a great place for a family vacation. We can't wait to come back !

  charming cottage, beautiful location, stocked well in the kitchen, excellent beach access. My only complaint would be that the musty basement smell comes up to the bedroom on the main floor. Not sure how to remedy this problem. Our family had a wonderful stay.

  My four friends and I enjoyed our stay at this small, but cozy and comfortable beach house. The view was great and just a short walk to the beach. The kitchen was very well equipped. We ate all our meals there and the dining area accomodated us all. The living room area is small but adequate. Bed space upstairs is spacious but stairs are steep. The location and view is worth dealing with one bathroom for five women!

  The beach house is great. We want to go back again this summer but the house is already booked solid! The staff at OceanEdge are the best! They took such good care of us.   My sister and I selected "The Beach House" after seeing it during several previous trips. Great location and perfect for two people. We spent quality time storm watching -- the beach is so close we could ohh and ahh over the wave action while inside and nice and warm and comfortable in cozy furniture. Perfect location for walking into town to see what is going on and the mandatory stop at the bakery and restaurants. The Beach House is now on our "short" list of best places to stay.
