  Short walk to the town and even shorter walk to the beach. Plenty of room for 6 adults and 3 little kids. House has everything you need.

    Legacy House 2-you cant beat two kitchens (one really for snacks and one for meal prep), two living rooms-and across the street from the beach! The second generation owners have made lots and lots of upgrades and improvemente (many invisible to you like foundation work andnew windows or doors) and every year they plot a new project. I think the carpet may be one for the coming year! Come back soon.

  A great house for 7 adults to meet for the eleventh year in a row on the Oregon Coast. Rooms are large, kitchen well equipped, house was in good repair with nice furnishings. Large screen TV and internet worked well. Suspect we will make this house our "regular" reunion house in the future.

    Legacy House, both floors, is fabulous for a larger group (10 max). For a bonus, you get two living rooms with fireplaces, two kitchens--tho the downstairs kitchen we think of as auxiliary to watching TV and playing games. Big fridge, stove top works, oven doesnt. But, hey, the full kitchen is upstairs. There is a lovely view from upstairs to the beach and NeahKahNie Mountain. You have great outdoor space on the decks and a nice big driveway so four cars park easily there! See you next year? We agree, a great spot for a reunion.

  Our family considers our time in Legacy House one of our best vacations ever! The layout of the house was perfect for our family of 8 in terms of sleeping - two spacious bedrooms upstairs for 4 of us, and the whole downstairs apartment for the other 4
  (including 2 small children). The upstairs living area accomodated all of us comfortably for eating & relaxing together. We cooked a lot, and found the kitchen very well equipped. It was an easy walk to the beach or town, and a short drive to some great hikes
  in Oswald West State Park! We love Manzanita & Legacy House!

  This property is in a fantastic location - literally across the road from the beach and in fact there are views along the beach towards Neahkanie mountain from the living room on the 2nd floor.
  A little dated inside, but well laid out and worked well for us - two families with 4 children, adults upstairs and children downstairs.

  wonderful location just far enough from the main drag that is quiet and peaceful, but close enough that you can walk to town. beautiful view through the large windows, beach right across the street. nice cozy warm atmosphere and super comfy couches! the property managers are the nicest you'll find.

  There was actually a mix up and the owner's family was at the place when we arrived. Mistakes happen. But we were very impressed at how quickly and thoroughly the managers handled the situation, getting us into another nice property quickly, and compensating for the inconvenience. 5 star service, would recommend them to anyone. We got to see the inside of legacy house, and while we couldn't stay there, it looks quite nice.

  We had a group of 6 adults, a toddler, and a baby, and we found that the two floors worked well for the kids to sleep downstairs without being disturbed by adults who were still awake later in the evening. We loved being across the street from the beach access. The kitchen is equipped with a wide variety of dishes and cookware, which is unlike many other rental homes. The loaner kites were terrific too.
  
  Our only critique is that a post on the upstairs balcony was loose, possibly posing a risk to a car parked below and being a safety issue for the toddler. We called about the post on Friday around 1 or 2 p.m. and were told the maintenance person would come look at it, but no one showed up that day. We blocked the post from the toddler with strategic placement of the BBQ.

  My sister and I spent three nights at Legacy House in the month of November - great time for a quick "I can't stand it anymore" get away from the city. As usual, the OceanEdge staff was helpful, friendly and competent -- the very reasons why we continue to work with them. The house was wonderful -- comfortable rooms and furniture. So enjoyed the family mementos which, in turn, made us feel as if we were staying at a friend's home rather than renting a place at the beach. The art studio/now bedroom is wonderful -- a real "feel good" room. The second bedroom very large and comfortable. Our time at the beach was greatly enhanced by the wonderful informational note book provided by OceanEdge -- right down to menus and times of operation. Very helpful.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Legacy House. It was a perfect fit for our family getaway in Manzanita. We loved the location, and overall layout of the house, but the home is definitely in the 1970's motif. An upgrade would be desireable in the rental market, and presumably add considerable value to this as a rental property.

  A wonderful visit. A few areas of maintenance concerns, but the house was a delight. Loved the comfy beds and room for kids to roam and not hear. Lots of kitchen items and the nicest towels and linens I have encountered. Quite a taseful home. AND the huge TV! totally awesome if the trees were cut a bit lower for a spectacular view. Would stay there vs. Neakahnie Treasure if view better.
